Abstract

The research was carried out to determine the level of knowing the CE mark, which is the safe toy criterion, and the factors affecting the mothers of 3-6 years old children. It is of cross-sectional type. 130 mothers with children aged 3-6 who applied to Muş State Hospital Pediatric Polyclinic participated in the study. The data were collected with "Child and Family Introduction Form". Descriptive statistical methods, Mann Whitney U and Chi-square test were used in data analysis. A logistic regression model was established with variables that make a difference in univariate analyzes. The level of knowing the CE mark and its meaning is 26.9%. All independent variables affecting the knowledge of the CE mark were evaluated together in logistic regression; The mother's not having a high school graduation 3.6 times, the father not being a university graduate 5.8 times, the father not being a civil servant had a negative effect of 3.7, while each unit increase of the mother's age provided a positive effect of 1.1 times (p <0.05).
