Objective: Cell phone emitting electromagnetic field (EMF) are routinely used in our daily life. Long-term use of these Cell phones has caused public health concerns in recent years. Also, reports regarding the effect of EMF exposure on the biosystem are inconclusive. In this study, we aimed to investigate the possible effects of 900 MHz EMA on the adrenal glands of adult male rats. Method: Twelve adult rats were randomly selected and divided into two groups as follow: control and EMF. Finally, we analysed the suprarenal gland tissues using stereological method. Results: We found no significant difference in the volume of the adrenal zona glomerulosa d in the EMF group compared to the control group. The volume of the adrenal zona fasciculate was significantly increased In the EMF group compared to the control group (p<0.05). There was also significant increase in the mean volume of the zona reticularis (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Our finding showed that exposure to 900 MHz EMF caused morphometrical change in the rat adrenal gland.
